We have a 4 year old boy and 2 year old twin girls. Most of the arcades/indoor playgrounds we visit are "shoes, socks mandatory". Natural ones are thinner, very tough, warm in winter and don't overheat in summer. The sizing is perfect too, they won't slide down toddlers who are 8ft tall and there's plenty of room for the preschooler to grow. I wore them too!
