I haven't used this for veggies so can't comment on that, but as a cheese grater this thing is amazing. I grated 8 ounces of parmesan in under 30 seconds after cutting it into 3 pieces to fit the grater hole. The same piece of cheese if I grated it by hand on a flat grater would probably take 10 minutes and be twice as messy with bits of cheese everywhere. Not to mention the inevitable muscle aches and chunks of my fingers mingling with the bars. rzunimag. Disassembly and cleaning was very easy and quick. The device has excellent suction power. I'm assuming it's made in China, and since basically everything made in China these days is designed to break soon after purchase, I was a little concerned about the thickness and quality of the plastic parts. But this item appears to be well put together, with thick, durable plastic parts that fit together nicely when put together. Kudos to the manufacturer for putting the customer's needs first, not just selling. Overall, I highly recommend this cheese grater.
