Review on Inkesky Tofu Water Extractor - Enhance Flavor by Draining Moisture from Firm Tofu by Ivan Carson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Compact and does exactly what I want!

I wanted the tofu press to be strong and not have a lot of moving parts that could easily break. Many others I've looked at have relied on springs, rubber bands, or something similar to press the tofu, and many reviews have mentioned that they break. This press is good in that regard. There are very few parts that are fragile, small, or in constant danger of breaking. However, I have two complaints about it and if I could fix them it would be an easy 5 star product. First, if you wrap your tofu in towel paper or cloth, there really isn't room for excess cloth. The green part of these abs is tight so any towel dangling off the side will catch on it. It's annoying. Second: the liquid has nowhere to go! The distance between the small "mesh" insert and the outside of the press is very small. liquid will flow out. And there's no real way to support abs in a bowl or anything where fluid collects easily. One of the things that drew me to this press is that it's SMALL. I don't have to waste a lot of storage space or take up a lot of counter space to use it. But after installing shady devices just so I can drain the liquid without making a mess? That's a lot more space than expected. However, I don't regret this purchase at all! Works great, presses well and evenly, I'm very satisfied! Once you figure out how to wrap your kitchen towel properly, it's just a bit of a bother. And yes, propping it up over a bowl sucks, but it could be worse. I can definitely recommend this press! Just be realistic in your expectations. Much luck!
