I wear them all winter 2014/15 Pros: - Pleasantly soft to the touch. Good flexibility - warmth. I can wear them down to 20 seconds (F) or below for short 20-30 minute rides. More than warm enough for long rides in the 30's and 40's. Waterproof. I wore them once for a 90 minute ride in wet snow and stayed dry for most of the ride. Moisture could have gotten in through the wrists and not through the material (my guess). Is the size correct? They were a bit tight at first and I was concerned about the size. Feel great after a pair of socks. So I would say they are true. Visit Pearl Izumi's website for a size chart. - Reflective elements. - Convenient strip for wiping your nose on your thumbs! Cons - No padding on the palms and not enough room to actually fit a fingerless glove. Limits comfort and usefulness for long trips, but makes it more versatile (skiing, hiking, etc.). Durability? I'm assuming they'll have 5 years of winter driving/commuting, but not 10. That's pure speculation :)
