Works great when new. This device cannot withstand heavy use. We're a bar/pizzeria that serves a lot of salads, so we spin at least one box of sliced romaine hearts every day, and sometimes a little more. They've had issues with plastic gears in the past, so staff were warned not to stop it by grabbing the handle, which ruined the last one. While all were gentle, we didn't even get a year of use before the plastic gears failed. The master chef makes one with a brake, they borrowed it, if it breaks, let's see if it lasts longer.
