Purchased these. While I love the pattern I chose, I wouldn't refer to them as thermal, which is why I purchased them. The word thermal is just a gotcha thing to get you to buy them. They aren't really that thick either. They do hold up in the wash though and retain thier elasticity. I purchased another brand as a gift, that was cheaper with similar patterns, and they are thicker. Shop around there are better prices, and most of them are, essentially the same thing, except perhaps patterns may vary. Some are thicker too.
