I have a TV and a projector that I want to send the same signal to so I can switch between them without moving cables to have to . I have multiple devices in an HDMI switch and then I connect the switch to this splitter. It works with my 4k Apple TV and supports 4k, HDR and 4:2:2. The image looks indistinguishable with or without this separator. It has multiple settings for EDID, with a label at the bottom listing the actions of the different modes, but there's no clear explanation of what the EDID Automatic Analysis Mode or EDID Learning Mode does. . I set it to the 2nd setting (4k HDR 2ch Audio) as it most closely matches my setting. The only complaints I have are 1) it doesn't support CEC (so plugging a device behind a splitter doesn't seem to turn on the TV) and 2) it seems to mess up my projector's ARC setting. I haven't determined yet if this is related to this splitter, my projector, TV or switch. All in all I think if you just need to split the signal across multiple devices this works great. If you also want to pass the CEC or ARC, this may not be for you.
