Certified or not, it doesn't work. I don't know what's up with these "Apple Certified" products. But it doesn't work in any way on iPad 2 or iPad 3. I just tried it on both my wife's iPad 2 and my iPad 3. It plugs in but nothing happens, no power. I hope I didn't mess up the outlet or damage the iPad when I tried this. So you buy what looks like an Apple-certified product that's guaranteed to fit the product, and you risk ruining an iPad you've had for years and then being forced to buy a new one for $500-$1,000. to buy dollars. Why does Revain allow them to be sold? It's very frustrating to buy something when you know it will arrive just in time for the holidays and then it doesn't work. There have been several returns lately because not everything works as described.
