Very cute but broke after first try

I bought this for my son to wear to my wedding and we tried it out. Today he wore it with the rest of his clothes and that part just came off. Luckily we have a little time to get replacements and we tried it on before the wedding day (I'm only 2 weeks old) because I would be very upset if it happened on the wedding day.
