So, for starters, my product DOA has arrived. I used a 6.53mm adapter and a 3.5mm cable. This worked well, but was cumbersome. I bought a 6.53 to 3.5mm cable to get rid of the adapter. No matter how many times I tried or how many times I installed or reinstalled the cable or headphones, there was no sound. I've toggled back and forth between my previous setup and using this cable with no success: the cable was bad. If I could find my DMM I would check for continuity. However, it had to be sent back. But even when not in use, the braided mic was terrible. Every contact between the cable and any surface turned into a nightmare of static, scratching, rattling noises in my headphones. I definitely *vs* recommend using this cable with headphones. It's a shame because it's a nice, well-made quality cable. If you don't plan to use it with headphones, give it a try.
