Like some other reviewers, I had trouble getting the USB-C port to work. The USB-C cable that came with my MacBook Pro worked at first, but then it stopped. I tried the iVANKY USB C 3.2 cable, which didn't work either. I contacted Viewsonic support. My representative was very responsive and helpful. After some troubleshooting, they suggested that I order a cable from them (Viewsonic Item/SKU # CB-00012542). This cable worked. Interestingly, the iVANKY cable works now, but the Apple cable doesn't. Viewsonic support has also reported that plugging the monitor into a sensitive power strip or outlet can cause issues. When the problems started, I plugged the monitor into an old power strip. I switched it to a reliable outlet but only that and the Viewsonic cable got it working again. I can only guess that using the Viewsonic cable somehow reset the port detection which made the iVANKY cable work now, but I don't have the experience to support this. Also note that for all USB-C issues, the HDMI port on the monitor worked. Good. My advice: choose your power source and data cable carefully if you need a USB-C connection.
