Excellent drinking water pump - quiet - easy to install. Although not mentioned in the description, this pump is suitable for drinking water. This means it can be used for drinking water. DO NOT use a pump that is not certified for potable water in any installation where the water is used for consumption or food preparation. to ensure safe operation and portability. The pump works as it should and is very quiet. I installed the pump and tank on a frame made from a 2x4 for a friend's concession trailer and it works like a charm. This is a potable water pump so you can use it for potable water or commercial applications where water is used for consumption. It is VERY important to ensure you use a potable water pump for ANY application used for consumption. The self-priming feature is perfect as I could just dip the hose into the water tank, turn on the pump and the water started flowing quickly. I let the pump dry the reservoir and it worked as it should. The pump is equipped with a pressure sensor that switches off when there is sufficient resistance. The instructions recommend NOT attempting to pump water more than two meters above the level of the pump.
