Works right out of the box, just plug and play. I didn't have to adjust any monitor settings or anything like that. It remains to be seen if it will stand the test of time, but first impressions are very good! The Wii can't output 1080p no matter what cable or converter you use, so I'm not expecting a great picture on a 50" plasma. All of these older systems look a lot sharper and cleaner on 24-inch screens and below, so I'd recommend going with them if you're looking for the best visual quality and pixel density.
