The older version is MUCH easier to use
I have had a Safety 1st baby gate for a few years now and I absolutely love it. If you need a second gate, order more. The design has changed a bit, but the basic idea is the same. This new one is MUCH harder to set up and secure. It does NOT slide as easily as the old one; The latch is very tight and VERY difficult to lock/unlock. It takes two hands and a lot of effort. Whoever decides to remake these goals should be fired. This is not an improvement.
