Lots of misleading reviews on this product. This review will try to clarify some of them. Adhesion: Adheres well if the surface is thoroughly degreased. My Traeger 34 was only used once and I had to clean it several times to get it ready. I used distilled vinegar and paper towel soap over and over again until the paper tower was clean. I then used rubbing alcohol to make sure it was done. The base does not detach from the pad: you only need patience and possibly reading glasses. Try bending the corner of the gasket.3. Quantity: More than enough to make one Traeger 34. At least 4ft 4 left. Placement: I placed mine on the underside of the lid. I had to shorten the lid guide a bit. Ensures a clean installation. No leaks around the lid when the smoke is full.
