I was delighted to receive this toy chest for my children for Christmas and I thought it was as 'sturdy' as advertised. but as soon as i started to mount the securing loops in the lid of the box, the screws came out of the wood as easily as out of cardboard. I tried to get it to work with just one, but it also started tearing itself out. You can even see in the photo where the wood has cracked, where the screws have come loose. I have no choice but to leave it without safety devices and am so disappointed. I've shown my toddler how to use it carefully, but I can't rely on that. Please improve the wood quality or change the mounting method to a more durable one; (which I might add - it was easy to assemble too) but I digress. 🤷🏻‍♀️
