I bought these straps so I wouldn't get caught by the TSA metal detector. I didn't know before that artificial joints are triggered by TSA detectors no matter what you're wearing. In any case, the length corresponds to the description. When you close the buckle, the belt fits perfectly. The belt has a small loop that is easy to lose. For me the belt is five stars based on two factors. It is not metal and fits perfectly.
