First of all I would like to say that all our sockets have a bottom at the top. This product claims to work in any configuration but that is misleading. If you hold it grounded side up and plug it in, you're wasting almost half the shelf space. Of course, this means that the grounded part of the plug must be at the bottom. We flipped our outlet to better accommodate this shelf. Which brings me to my other complaint. I want it plugged into both outlets for stability. The kit includes a screw to attach it to the center of most sockets, but we don't have a center screw. We have two screws above and below the sockets so it feels a little flimsy. That's why I'm giving an average rating. If you have a regular socket configuration with a center screw hole I would expect you wouldn't have a problem. If you have an outlet like me, you can look at the other options, but this one still works decently enough.
