Review on ๐Ÿ”„ CrossWave Cleaner Replacement Multi-Surface Filters by Dhoal Shankar

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The brushes seem fine. The filter will destroy the car!

I bought these because I use more than most Bissell shear waves and the brushes wear out faster than I would like. The bank buys every month or so. The brushes seem to work just as well as the Bissell brand brushes, but I found the filter didn't match the car at all. Using my bissell this afternoon it seemed to be working fine until I turned the machine off. When I picked it up to clean it immediately, I found a puddle of dirty dirt on the floor. It was strange as the car had never done this before and fears that the bad reviews about the product were true crept into my head. (I read many bissell Crosswave reviews before purchasing) Concerned that my favorite cleaning machine would ruin me after only 6 months, I started cleaning the machine by running water through it immediately after each use. Then I noticed that the machine wasn't siphoning water either, and after the canister was only half full, the machine stopped siphoning it. As my apprehensions turned to frustration, I thought back to how great the machine had worked a few times back. What have I changed since then? Oh yes I just started using the new filters. In these machines, filters play a key role in maintaining and maintaining suction power. I kept the original filter which seems to be no longer usable just in case. After replacing the replica filter with the old one, the machine sucked water like new again! Luckily it only took me a few times to figure it out with one of these filters. I believe that if they continued to use a different brand of filter, the machine would eventually break. I don't notice any difference in the brushes. I will probably continue to use the other brand but will definitely skip the filters and go to the real bissell brand. At first glance, they don't seem to differ. The Off brand is much thinner than the Bissell brand and the adhesive around it is thicker and harder than the adhesive border that Bissell has on filters.

Pros
  • EASY TO REPLACE AND CLEAN - Snaps into place for quick and easy scheduled replacements without tools. Simply rinse them with clean water and allow them to air dry completely before use. To keep your vacuum cleaner running at peak performance, remember to change the filters every 3-6 months.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
