I love this ointment. If you have dry, cracked heels (and who doesn't have them in the summer because they're wearing sandals?), it will soften them up in just a few days. I also have a callus on the ball of my foot near my big toe that can tear and become painful. This ointment not only brings relief but also helps prevent future cracks. I keep a tube on my bedside table and apply the ointment after I crawl into bed. I don't even wear socks. I first discovered this at a spa after getting a pedicure. A girl recommended it and I've been a fan ever since. Odd note: earlier this summer I was walking around my garden in sandals and got almost 20 itchy bites on both feet. I woke up in the middle of the night mad with itching. I tried 2 different topical products that I had on hand but they didn't help to relieve the itching. In desperation, I grabbed a tube of Gevol and smeared all the stitches with ointment. After a few minutes the itching was gone. Be sure to use the MEDICINE ointment.
