I am very pleased to report that this handy product prevents foam from splashing onto the hob. As you can see in the photo my burner is black at the bottom because foam burns every time I cook chickpea pasta (I do a lot as we are vegan and gluten intolerant). Eventually, I gave up trying to keep this burner clean and called it a "pasta burner." I even considered not making this paste again after the foam boiled the last time I put out the flame without realizing until I smelled gas! Now that I have this wonderful thing, I can finally feel confident making frothy pasta, cleaning the burner, and keeping it clean! For reference, my pot is 8 inches inside diameter. Hope it works for you too!
