Review on Leifheit Cherry Stoner: Pit Catcher Container, Enhanced Ergonomic Handle, and Anti-Slip Rubber Feet by Sherri Rivera

I should have bought this time saving tool many years ago

I rarely buy an all purpose kitchen tool but after spending several hours manually picking cherries I have a Leifheit 37200 cherry picker with a container for catching Bought stones - and I'm sorry I didn't buy it years ago to save time and wear out my thumbs! This fun stone remover is easy to use, especially once you get into the rhythm of peeling the cherry first, loading the tray and pushing the handle down to remove the stone. You'll still need to cut the cherry in half for most recipes and check to make sure you haven't skipped the pits. The only minor issue is that sometimes some cherries, especially large ones like Bing, don't automatically fall into your bowl. I just tap the cherry again with the pen and the cherry usually falls straight into the bowl. The Pitter is fairly easy to clean once you remove the handle (this is done by squeezing the tabs just below the handle), but I recommend hand washing the parts. Overall this cherry crutch is amazing - such a time and labor saving tool!
