I had an old version of this model that wasn't as feature rich as this one and it worked great for over 10 years. Comparing the two models, this new model is now even quieter than the previous model and is surprisingly quiet, which I really like! In addition, it has a sensor to control the air and adjust the filtration rate accordingly. It's amazing how I can spray bathroom cleaner into the next room and in a minute this thing is picking up the chemicals being thrown into the air, alerting me (via an orange or red light on the front of the unit) and increasing its speed for help with the filtering process, which tells me that not only does it get the job done, but it's even more efficient than the old model, which didn't have any built-in sensors and only stayed at the speed I set. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the device has this horribly annoying squeaking sound (like a hamster wheel) that won't stop. Makes me want to spray some WD-40 on it but don't know where and/or how to do that or if it's the right solution.
