Yes, all lid reviews are verified. If they just put a regular lid in, that would be great. There are too many crevices and moving parts to make sure it doesn't get moldy inside, and there's no way to take it apart to clean it. Funny pours and because of the filter. The lid also prevents the kettle from fitting in my fridge's water dispenser. 2 hands required for filling; one holds the pan and the other the water pedal. If I figure out how to take the lid apart without breaking it, I'll pass the floor. The pot itself is easy to clean. The silly, semi-washable lid opens just enough to fit a hand and a washcloth. It's nice and heats efficiently. This isn't a bunch of computers either. It's on or off. One button, no ringing, ringing or digital readings; just an ordinary kettle.
