Ignored all the warnings and bought this horrible tripod anyway. Bad decision. The package arrived and I was very excited to start taking pictures. When I opened the package I noticed that one of the legs was broken. I tried setting up a tripod but one of the legs was too long (literally out of its socket) and the leg lock didn't work. First strike. Then I tried to mount the camera and the stand would not align. The supposedly "pivoting" tripod legs were stiff and unyielding. Second Strike. I used the tripod this way 3 times for 45 minutes each. Yesterday morning I was in the yard to take pictures. THE TRIPOD HEAD (ATTACHED TO MY DSLR) BROKE OFF IN MY HAND. I weigh 105 pounds so I don't have the strength to break a well made tripod. Third blow. Unfortunately it's past the return period and while it has a 'guarantee' I really don't want another Targus tripod. Especially when it's the only thing standing between my camera and the cold, hard concrete. I'm just swallowing the $20+ I spent on this crappy product. Goodbye forever. when it's the only thing standing between my camera and the cold, hard concrete. I'm just swallowing the $20+ I spent on this crappy product.
