Bought these to wear as a snowboarding base layer (1 day of a 5 day trip to Vegas) and carried the set separately several times during the trip. The bottoms totally work like leggings with a long top when it's 7am and you don't understand why you're not sleeping because you should be on vacation and haven't really signed up for it. I wouldn't wear a top on my own just because it's too tight for me, but depending on the fit it might work. big and the kit fits just right. Since large is the largest size I would say a size 12 or a fat, certainly a 14 is the largest size that could probably fit. Attached is my plump body so you can see what I mean. All in all, I highly recommend this set. It's very warm and inexpensive. I snowboarded once in my life and wasn't willing to pay double or more for a famous brand so this was perfect for me. I bought the men's version for my husband and he was fine with that too, although he didn't opt for the leggings (which I think he could rock). To each his own.
