I needed a low stool in my closet to reach things on the shelf and it works well. Finding a low stool for a tall adult is not easy. Most stools have a large step up - something I can't manage with my sore knees. The short ones are often intended for children and have a low weight limit. I bought two that I could find to try, the wooden one and this one. My daughter then pulled out the low one she used when her kids were little which was acceptable for me to get into her large SUV on a recent trip but it suffered with my weight and I'm afraid it would without it not last long breaking where the ones i bought including this one are much stronger. I decided to keep both because I have trouble reaching the tall shelves in the kitchen and the closets in the bedroom. This little stool hides in my closet and comes in handy when I want to put things on the shelf or take them out. It is easy to move as the recess at the base offers a comfortable grip and is very light. However, it seems very durable to stand on. It easily holds 250 pounds. The small unfinished wooden stool I bought works best in the kitchen because I can color it to match my wooden floor. be clean of the hose if necessary.
