I feel like these shoes look better in the listing photos than they do on my son's feet. The tongue is very bulky and just looks weird to me. They make his foot look really small and he wears a toddler 11/12, so not a super small foot. Other than that, they seem fine. The shoes fit true to size. Since they're velcro, they're also easy for kids who can't tie their shoes yet, to put on and take off themselves. The construction seems very sturdy too.
