First time using a pillow speaker when I had to turn down the volume on my old iPod. It's loud enough even under a thick pillow. Yes, it's a bit bulkier than the others, but you won't need it directly under your ear. It also seems to be better with a stronger cable. Let's hope the cord doesn't break in the outlet like all the others I've bought recently. I liked it so much that I ordered another one. Not yet, but if you find something that works well.
