First of all a good, durable case. It's not light, but it's not heavy either - it's a nice sweet spot where it feels solid and has just enough to actually protect an iPad without being too heavy for a kid. The housing consists of two parts. Slide it open, snap the iPad onto the back, and then snap the top and back covers into place. It's not easy to understand. It would be nice if the stand allowed for more than one angle, but I was aware of that and it's easy to adjust by putting your "foot" on a book or whatever you have handy. We bought an iPad when our son's school switched to distance learning and this case protects it well. We love it, he loves it, he loves that he doesn't have to bring his mom's computer for video conferencing (mommy too!), and it even came in purple. side of the touch screen.
