Wow! I finally found comfortable shoes. I wanted to try Sperry but they are very expensive so I didn't. I tried Clarks sneakers which are very similar to these but also expensive and actually comfortable but had an oddly sharp edge on the gel inserts on one side of the shoe. I have wide feet with a very high instep and they fit comfortably in a medium width. They don't have high arch support, but the cushioned insoles soften that up a bit. I don't think I would wear them for a long hike, but they are perfect for all day moderate walking. In addition, they are very light.
