I bought this pot because it's a fairly small pot that can cook food for two people. The inner pot is removable and easy to clean. As with all ceramics, be careful if you drop it, it will break. A little warm water and soap will clean the pot easily. As for the hob, once it cools to room temperature, a damp towel is enough to keep the pot clean and functional. The pan has high and low settings that seem pretty well set for this small pan. . However, I wouldn't leave this unattended for long as it gets quite hot outside. However, this is true of any slow cooker you buy. Also, make sure the pot is far enough away from other items in your kitchen to reduce the risk of accidents. something that is cooked slowly and over a long period of time. If you are a bachelor this is a great inexpensive product to add to your kitchen that will save you the hassle of working on a hot stove.
