This battery is cheap but as long as you are careful not to damage the screws you will be fine. I read someone else did it so I was careful. It works great and I will use it about half the time I use a sound machine. It should last 40 hours but I haven't used it that much yet. Would I buy again? Yes, but I still wish the sound machine had a built-in rechargeable battery or a higher quality battery. Dec 2010 update. - I've used this battery quite a bit with my sound machine so far and I think it lasts well over 40 hours on a single set of batteries. I've used the higher capacity Duracell MAX version and know it will last longer. I will definitely buy it again if it ever breaks. I babysit him and have had no problems with him. (Note that the drawing of the battery orientation inside the device is not correct. Following the drawing will not work.
