Parabens are preservatives that disrupt the endocrine system. In particular, studies have shown that they drastically suppress testosterone production in men. Possible associations with obesity and other hormonal defects after in utero exposure during the first trimester are under investigation. Personally, I don't really like it when my skin products contain menthol, although I understand why they use it (nice cooling effect). the feeling is a subtle reward that positively reinforces your skincare routine - and their product in particular) It also doesn't lather as much as I'd like. To be honest if parabens weren't disqualifying I would still only give this product 3 stars.
