Just installed on the Triumph 675 and Suzuki SV650. I hesitated long enough with heated grips. Installation: Installation was very easy if you take your time and plan ahead. I didn't smooth out the bumps on the gas pipe on both bikes as instructed in the instructions. The beats were pretty quiet. It comes with insulating shrink wrap which is a nice plus. I recommend buying a built in 5 amp fuse. Instead of using caustic vampire connectors I decided to do it right and solder all the connections and wrap them in shrink wrap. Don't use tapered household electrical connectors, that's just a bad way to go and looks messy. Be sure to install it so that the circuit cannot receive power when the bike is off. Switch: I wish the rocker switch was a bit bigger and had a more positive feel. With gloves it's hard to tell if you've turned it off, even worse if you're using thicker winter gloves. I don't like fiddling with switches while driving, so I installed a red LED that lets me know when it's on and off. The best option would have been to get a three-position lighted switch, but the radio store didn't have one, so I opted for an LED backlight instead. The switch holder was a nice piece that they include in the kit. I used it when installing the SV650, I replaced and installed one of the bolts on the handlebars, make sure you use the shrink wrap provided over the derailleur as it will likely be exposed to rain. I also added dielectric grease to the end of the shrink wrap to completely prevent water ingress. I had to adjust it differently on the 675 as it is a fully faired sport bike. I drilled a hole in the cockpit fairing filler panel and installed the switch. I installed my red LED next to it so I know when it's on as it's not as easily accessible during use. Work: I have to say it works great. It takes a few minutes to start heating when you turn it on. At high temperatures, it takes 3-5 minutes to reach full temperature. At low revs it works well on the highway at 55 degrees, at high it gets too hot. I'll see how it works at the end of October.
