I was looking for a set of microphones that I could easily use in a portable 'podcast' recording situation. Basically something that was portable and not very expensive but of decent quality for recording quality audio. After reading some reviews of these Marantz MPM-1000 microphones I decided to give them a try. Overall I am very happy with the value of these. They work well enough with my Zoom H6 recorder to bring them to the location to record interviews and discussions. The stands are a bit flimsy, and you'll need to make sure you position the mic properly so it doesn't "tilt" to the side - but once they're in place and connected, it's no big deal. included accessories (about 6ft of XLR cables, shock stands, windscreen, etc.) Overall, this is a great setup for anyone just starting out with audio recording for voice/conversation work, or podcasts, YouTube, and the like. Remember that you will need a USB audio interface or recording device with XLR inputs. I also posted a video review of them using one of them as an audio input so you can hear a bit more about the quality!
