When I opened the box there were no instructions but it seemed standard. I put it in the dishwasher and that was it. It came out black as soot, and every time I touched or rubbed it, all my fingers were covered in a black substance. As there was no paper with it I have no idea what metal it was but apparently it can't be washed in the dishwasher but metal that gives off such a black substance when you wash off a coating that wasn't good on it be thing. It was the cheapest worst ever. Unfortunately I went online and arranged for the return but it had to be taken to a Revain office, Walmart store or Target store to ship and we were so busy we couldn't go and missed the deadline . So let me at least warn others not to buy this!
