I usually wear 8.5 inch heels and size 9 tennis shoes and based on some other reviews I went with size 9. Therefore, when choosing a size, use the size you would wear for sneakers as a guide. Having said that, I have to say that I was skeptical about this purchase because of the cost. I never spend more than $40 on shoes, so that was a big deal for me. But they have a money back guarantee so I went for it and I'm so glad I did. Also my feet are pretty average, I have a small arch and not too wide foot in case you are wondering. I was in Thailand for two weeks and wore these shoes every day of the trip. I have never experienced blistering, chafing or discomfort. And this is Thailand, I had sweaty feet all the time, and the shoes were still incredibly comfortable, reliable and did not wobble in anything. I don't think you fully get it, I've climbed more than 300 steps to the top of temples, walked through crowded street markets, walked around the city which took 30-45 minutes on foot, walked over the rubble of collapsed buildings, climbed small hills to reach the main roads. The list goes on. Seriously, I don't know how else to put it, these are the best shoes I've ever bought. I also had a good grip when walking on rivers, my toes were protected so I never hurt or bruised them and the strap keeps them secure which is very important with so much exercise, flip flops would be terrible. . They were so easy to put on that even after taking them off at the temples they were very easy to put back on, not to mention the color made it easy to spot in the sea of shoes. So if you are arguing about these shoes because of price, material, style or anything else, I say please try them. They are really cute and trendy, they don't make you stand out as a tourist, they have enough authenticity. I could wear them with skirts, dresses and even jeans. What a wonderful pair of shoes, I'm so glad I chose them, they took me all around Thailand on my own and I've never had a single complaint. Actually my first Amazon review. I felt it important to share my experience as I know shoes can be a great investment, especially when buying online. So yes, 5 stars!
