the nut is locked in the ratchet, you will see that the released button will go back to where it was , before inserting the nut Nut in the ratchet The 36 and 30 nut only have 2 sides to snap into the ratchet If I use a Gedore ratchet on a different brand or vice versa I understand that the pin on the ratchet is different than other brands and definitely doesn't fit other outlet brands. But it doesn't fit in its own outlet which is a high price problem. Dewalt doesn't have that problem when their ratchet goes into their outlet. I don't have any Problems with the Wera even though the rosette is now made in Taiwan and the ratchet is Czech made?A few more pictures show you need to find the right side of the bushing before it will fit the ratchet at many problems with sockets not fitting the ratchet. Buy a Dewalt rather than a set of Gedore heads. High price but poor quality control to clear a faulty head for use with a ratchet. Gedore is now just a name with a bad reputation and not so great quality.
