Replacing Original Nissan Xterra 06-14 Remote Control Key and Remote Key

After years of reliable service, my newest Nissan Xterra OEM Ignition Key broke so it's time to replace it. I ordered this set of 2 flip keys, cut and programmed for my car. Do they really work? --Yes!- After the locksmith programmed them for my car, the remote access for locking, unlocking and panic/alarm works fine.- The spare key itself works fine. I had it done at the locksmith and didn't expect any problems - After programming the transponder at the locksmith, the keys start the ignition as expected. Pros: + It is very convenient when the buttons and the remote control are connected, and not separately. + the flip button is a nice feature + a tiny LED indicates when you press the button. Cons: - Doesn't come with an emblem/logo from a car key fob maker, but there is room for an emblem on the back of the key. You have to find it somewhere else or live without it. Traditional key rings will not fit a key fob, so you will need to use a tiny key ring or cable style lanyard. Each key contains both an ignition transponder (not programmed) and keyless entry (also not programmed). In order for this to work with your car, here's what you need to do with the key: 1) Cut the keys to fit your car's ignition and door lock. 2) Electronically program the key fobs to work with your ignition switch. 3) Program the key fob to control remote access to your vehicle. Each key requires all three services to replace your original keys. These services can be performed at a Nissan dealership or key repair facility - charges apply for these services.
