I testify professionally in court and also have private practice. I use PDF EXPERT on my iPad so I can safely carry my files and testimonies with me when I leave the drive at home with encryption. They complement each other perfectly and there is no need to reuse the paper or pay to destroy it. Hats off. Given the delicate nature and non-replaceable material, I buy a second one just in case and also to store it elsewhere in case of fire or theft. If it's stolen, I'm not worried about the data being exposed. I want to see the initial "Unlock Code" which you can then use to enter a second unlock code. So if a person is lucky with open source, they have the maximum number of tries, like the iPhone, before it gets permanently locked and the information is destroyed or never available again. It would provide a valuable second line of security, which I consider essential, but it's another reason I'm buying a second one. In any case, I don't think anyone will ever be able to crack the encryption. All in all it's a great investment and I make both lawyers and my patients aware of how their information is protected. It calms your mind. I also don't connect my work computer to the internet. I have my iPad, but as soon as I'm done in court or in the office, I delete the information from the iPad. In general, I have no trouble sleeping at night. I highly recommend this item.
