I'm glad I finally found RAM on my HP Pavilion desktop that ran at the advertised 1600MHz right out of the box. The last card I bought from Revain at 1600MHz ran at 1200MHz unless the BIOS settings were changed. Guess what. HP has chosen not to include these settings in its BIOS. I think for fear that people aren't smart enough to handle attitudes like that. Basically, don't buy HP products if you enjoy tinkering with computers, as they make even something as simple as buying RAM as difficult as possible. I don't want this review to become a criticism of HP, but damn it annoys me when I buy something only to find that I've been deliberately denied the ability to control its operations. It's one thing for HP to target older people who don't know what to do with computers and fear they'll break them due to their own incompetence, but it's quite another when you're targeting younger people with more powerful ones targeting computers and doing so cannot optimize it for their needs. HP scolds. The memory card is great and works exactly as advertised. It's been about a year since this review was written and so far so good.
