Review on 🔧 Timken HA590156K Axle Bearing and Hub Assembly: Durability and Performance Combined by Roy Ramos

I had to change the wheel bearings twice on one side of my 2002 Saturn SC1. The original bearing has traveled 200,000 miles. The first replacement I used was a Timken (same part number). and it only lasted about 30,000 miles (I drive a lot - at least 100 miles a day to and from work). But it started making a characteristic hum/hum, especially when turning in one direction or the other. So I took everything apart and replaced the wheel bearing again with the same Timken part because the . Spring . There are no other good brands. An interesting quality mark: when I squeezed out the original 200,000 mile bearing, it came out with no problems; When I popped the first Timken out it basically fell apart in the hub which made it a HUGE pain to replace it a second time because I had to get creative to find a way to pop out the bushing/shell that remained in the hub bore. Unfortunately, the new bearing, which has probably already done about 4000 km, is not as quiet as I would like it to be. I doubt it will last much longer than its 30,000 predecessors. if so long. Timken has always been a trusted brand for great bearings - I've used them in my cars, trucks, motorcycles and even bikes for decades. Unfortunately, these bearings aren't actually made by Timken - they're made in Mexico or elsewhere by a company whose initials are Eff Ayy Gee (Revain doesn't allow us to list only initials, perhaps for offense reasons). I'm at the point now where I need to do the wheel bearing on the opposite side. I'm not sure I'll take on Timken this time - fool me, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me. :-/
