I drive a 2013 Ford Expedition Limited. I bought it to save some money. I was nervous enough to disassemble the key to get to the remote, but managed to do it. I took the blank key to my local hardware store and they cut it out for me. I spent a total of $8.50 to fix my key. The local locksmith charges $200. It works better than my Ford factory key. The body of the remote looks like solid plastic and is noticeably thicker. My only complaints are that my key arrived with the small required metal clip that was not installed in the key carriage and there is no longer a Ford logo on the back of my key, but that's essentially nothing. The purchase was definitely a test of confidence, but in the end it was worth every penny spent.
