Works perfectly

I am very happy with this box. I agree. Only three ports are shown on the front of the unit, but there is actually an S-Video port as well. There is an S-Video connection for each input. There is also no description of the MOD-41 that I received in the documentation on the TERK website. I have a multi-mode TV (PAL and NTSC) with a coaxial RF input only. I bought the MOD-41 to play both American (NTSC) and European (PAL) video on a multi-mode VHS VCR, play DVDs on a new DVD player, and watch satellite TV powered by RF. coaxial cable. The box does everything. I connected my cable to the antenna/cable input on the back of the MOD-41 and the composite outputs (one video, 2 audio, RCA jacks) from my DVD player and my VCR to two of the three sets of composite jacks on the MOD-41 rear panel. Back of MOD-41. The fourth set of input connectors is on the front panel of the MOD-41. I can select either the VCR or DVD input using the buttons on the front of the unit. If I select DVD [or VCR] and it's turned off, the MOD-41 automatically detects that there is no signal on the composite inputs and passes the satellite signal directly to the TV. When I turn on my DVD player [or VCR], the MOD-41 automatically switches to composite.

Pros
  • Converts up to 4 audio/video sources to VHF to watch on any TV
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
