If you do not want to lose the functionality of "native" controllers in mobile mode, then you should look towards the nintendo switch pro controller + attaching the console to the controller. Some pros: Additional buttons and Turbo help a lot. Full size sticks that hopefully won't fail soon. Cons below: The quality of the buttons is not very good. Not that bad, but sometimes pressing is still missed. There is no vibration and no accelerometer/gyroscope, so Doom is not that fun to play. Amiibo are not supported.
