I bought my truck in Florida where they don't have front license plates and now that I need a front license plate I needed a solution. The dealer wanted to charge me $90 to have the braces installed. I was able to do this for the price of a brace and a few minutes of my time. I am very satisfied with this license plate holder. I installed it on a 2008 Silverado 1500. Everything went much easier than I expected. I was worried about getting it straight, but after marking the spots where I wanted to drill the holes I noticed little dimples where the holes should be on my truck and they lined up perfectly. After drilling the holes I used 4 rivets and then screwed on the license plate and that's it. Has a good strong hold. could not have been better. If you have access to a drill and a rivet gun then it's worth the money!
