Review on PTK-6525 Primula 2.5 qt. Stainless Steel Whistling Stovetop Tea Kettle by Derek Bates

Just received and must try to return it. Nice looking kettle but it's tin and I'm guessing only dogs can hear it whistle, I know I couldn't. Another reviewer claims it caught fire and I can believe it. It's very tinny and I can imagine the plastic handle melting slightly if left on the stove for too long with no audible whistling to let you know it's cooked. The pot I replaced was sturdier and made a whistle that the neighbors could hear and had no chance of boiling that pot over. I suggest you bypass this pot and try another one.
