I have a Dell Latitude 5400 with 16GB in one slot. I bought this to fill another slot to take advantage of the speed boost of dual channel memory. After the first install, my laptop wouldn't boot, so I removed the new memory. The laptop booted normally with the original memory. I then removed the original memory and just installed the new module. The laptop started again with no problems. Then I tried again with the new and the original together and surprisingly it booted and showed 32GB. Since then I do not have problems anymore. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the first problem.
