After reading the reviews, I was really excited to purchase because I thought I had a good idea of what size to order… But I was wrong! I’m 5’4 - 230lbs & I ordered a XL (which is the same size I ordered from many other vendors on ebay when I was smaller). The the waist trainer is made out of is very soft & stretchy but durable! But on the very first try on (standing up) I was able to easily fasten it to the tightest hook… I would say, if you’re on the "evenly proportioned” side, order your shirt size.
